Special Hobby is preparing a new model of the Aero A.11 in 1/72nd scale for June this year in a limited series. The model will feature the L-BUCD aircraft with which one of the great figures of Czechoslovak aviation, the later General Stanovský, together with mechanic Šimek, made a long-distance flight from Europe (including Great Britain, Finland, the Baltic countries, etc.) to North Africa and Asia Minor.
The Aero A.11 was a biplane light bomber and reconnaissance aircraft built in Czechoslovakia between the First and Second World Wars. It formed the basis for many other Czechoslovakian military aircraft of the inter-war period. Around 250 were built, with some remaining in service at the outbreak of World War II.
