How to paint a Blood Angels Space Marine

The iconic red of the Blood Angels Space Marine chapter can be a challenging scheme to replicate. In today’s video, Manuel Gil demonstrates how to paint a Blood Angels Primaris Intercessor using the new ATOM paints with easy and effective techniques. This new formulation, exclusively by AMMO, allows perfect application with both brush and airbrush, and Manuel shows both methods of application.

 

Manuel also adds definition to the Space Marine’s details using an acrylic wash, and uses ATOM paints to add scratches and chipping effects, before accentuating the textures of its base with Dio Drybrush Paints. Finally, a pigment is used to tie the base and marine together. This combination of easy and effective techniques will allow you to get your Blood Angels force onto the tabletop quickly!

When a hobby becomes a profession

It was in October 2017, during the Plasencia modelling competition, when my link with AMMO began thanks to the support of Javier López de Anca, who gave me the opportunity to start collaborating with AMMO. 

Since then, I have received many commissions to write articles for books, magazines and Quick Tips, or to record content for the videos.

And today is a great day, because all that work has paid off, turning my hobby of making models into a profession by joining AMMO's staff.
