One detail that is often overlooked in our armored vehicle models is the variety of surface finishes achieved through different manufacturing techniques. In this video, we take a look at the characteristic rough texture of cast steel, which is commonly seen on turrets, mantlets, transmission covers, and other components. ArmorFx Cast Texture is a new, fast-drying acrylic paste designed specifically to recreate this effect in scale.
As you’ll see in the video, ArmorFx Cast Texture is easy to use and washes off easily with water. It can be applied in multiple layers to achieve the desired level of texture, and once dry, it can be sanded to ensure the effect remains true to scale on your models. While it is still wet, the surface can be dabbed with an old brush to create different levels of texture, mimicking the randomness of real cast steel.

ArmorFx Cast Texture es una nueva pasta acrílica de secado rápido diseñada específicamente para recrear este efecto a escala.
Como verás en el vídeo, ArmorFx Cast Texture es fácil de usar y se elimina fácilmente con agua. Se puede aplicar en varias capas para conseguir el nivel de textura deseado y, una vez seca, se puede lijar para garantizar que el efecto se mantenga fiel a la escala en tus modelos. Mientras aún está húmeda, la superficie se puede puntear con un pincel viejo para crear diferentes intensidades de textura, imitando la aleatoriedad del acero fundido real.
